Founded by Allison Chapas in 2007 in San Francisco, and based in Olympic Valley in North Lake Tahoe since 2013, Chapas Design is an award-winning, boutique design studio focused on user-centered digital experiences.
Chapas Design operates as a seasoned team of interdisciplinary thinkers, who have the expertise to help you elevate your brand, improve your digital presence, and propel your business to the next level.
We're a small yet mighty collaborative that provides a world-class agency outcome — but with the perks of being a nimble shop that partners with you, communicates clearly and often, and includes you in the entire design process.
About Allison Chapas
Fusing art, design, and technology is Allison's passion. With a Cornell University background in Fine Arts, coupled with over 20 years of visual, product, and UX/UI design experience at top startups, agencies, and consumer goods industry leaders such as Apple, Adobe, Microsoft, and Splunk, she lives and breathes design.
Allison knows the ins and outs of interaction and product design for web/desktop and mobile, and has an innate talent for combining killer visuals with solid user experience design. She also understands code, and can easily communicate with developers, execs, product managers, and creatives.
Her strength comes from working with interdisciplinary and cross-functional teams, and she has enjoyed opportunities to do so at the some of the most successful companies in the world.
When not engaged with her studio of expert partners on design projects, Allison volunteers for Tahoe Inc, runs her daughter's afterschool enrichment program, and enjoys outdoor adventures with her family and puppy.
With 20+ years between San Francisco and Lake Tahoe, urban and mountain adventures under blue skies, coupled with family time and local community are all important pillars of our daily life.
We use problem-solving and design thinking skills for social good. Tackling projects that benefit women, the environment, our community, our friends, and generations to come, is paramount.
We strive for and foster a work/life balance, with the goal to equally prioritize the demands of our careers with the demands of our personal lives. And to have fun while doing so.
